CLUW Honors Women for Strength, Power and Commitment

Every year the Coalition of Labor Union Women honors women who are devoted to advancing the roles of women in the labor movement. CLUW President Katie Jordan presented six distinguished women with awards, including two from the CFL.

Recipients of the Florence Criley Award included: Bridget Early (Chicago Federation of Labor), Marilyn Blunt Massey (AFSCME), Nora Cay Ryan (Chicago Federation of Labor) and Kenya Townsend (United Auto Workers Local 551). The Olga Madar Award went to Mary Fears Crayton (retired AFL-CIO Regional Director) and Dr. Emily E. LB. Twarog (UNITE HERE Local 1). The Joyce D. Miller Award was presented to Lynn Fox (Workers United International Union).
