On Labor Day, union members and their families cheered as the Chicago Federation of Labor presented "Living Wage Warrior" awards to the 35 Chicago aldermen who voted to pass the Big Box Living Wage Ordinance earlier this summer.

"These 35 men and women took a bold step on behalf of working families in Chicago," said CFL President Dennis Gannon.  "The Big Box Living Wage Ordinance is about equality and raising the standards of living in our communities.  We commend them on Labor Day for taking a stand on this issue that will have a positive impact on the lives of hardworking men and women."
