Chicago's working families are disappointed by Friday's announcement from the International Olympic Committee that eliminated the city's bid to host the 2016 Games.

The Olympic and Paralympic Games would have brought needed revenue, jobs and increased tourism to Chicago, benefiting working men and women in a wide range of industries.  Chicago's unions overwhelmingly supported the bid because of the significant benefit the Games would have had on the local economy and communities.
