Chicago and Cook County set records with early voting totals for the November 4 General Election. Officials say more than 650,000 voters cast their ballots in Illinois, with 260,000 in the city of Chicago and 224,000 in suburban Cook County. The turnout far outpaces the 200,000 early voters in the primary as enthusiasm for the presidential election continues to escallate. The final day of early voting was Thursday, October 30.
