The NLRB is supposed to protect our workplace rights--not take them away. But the Bush-appointed NLRB has launched an all-out attack on America's workers. The board's contempt for workers peaked in September when it issued more than 60 decisions mostly attacking workers' freedom to form unions. Nearly one hundred union members, religious leaders, and community activists rallied outside of the NLRB regional office in Chicago on Thursday calling on the board to stop the assault on workers' rights.
The board was created to encourage workers to have unions and bargain collectively to improve lives and build a strong middle class. But the board appointed by President Bush is worse than having no labor board at all. For more information about the latest NLRB assault on workers' rights, click here |
