On Tuesday, the United States Senate began debating the Employee Free Choice Act.  Meanwhile, thousands of union members and workers rallied in Washington D.C. to show their support for the pivotal piece of legislation.

The Employee Free Choice Act would improve the nation’s labor laws to give workers greater freedom to make their own decisions about joining a labor union and bargaining for better wages, benefits and working conditions.
